1. To plan the technical lecture meetings of the chapter for the year 2018.
It was resolved that a seminar/ workshop / conference will be arranged at Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College under the initiative of Subrata Biswas.
2. To consider the maintenance of the website of the Signal Processing Society, Kolkata Chapter.
It was resolved that Susanta Ray and Tridibesh Nag will take care of the maintenance of the website.
3. To plan technical lectures and workshops
a) A student branch was opened at Netaji Subhash Engineering College. It was resolved that the chapter will plan to organize a technical program with the students of the Netaji Subhash Engineering College under the guidance of
Tridibesh Nag and Subrata Biswas. The tentative time was decided to be the first week of September.
b) To raise funds for the technical programs (seminars/workshops, etc.) organized by this chapter, a nominal amount of registration fees will be estimated later. The contents of these programs will be decided by Susanta Ray, Biswendu Chatterjee and Saptarshi Chatterjee.
c) To execute this program (as indicated in point 3b) a further meeting has to be arranged.
d) To organize the research scholar’s meet.
It was resolved that a meet of all the research scholars from different sections of Electrical engineering department of Jadavpur University, will be arranged in the month of June to have a relevant discussion about individual’s research activities. This program will be executed by Riddhi Ghosh, Saptarshi Chatterjee and Nasirul Haque.
4. To consider the matter of organizing a one-day DLP talk.
It was resolved that the chapter will organize the one-day DLP talk at the end of the year, 2018. 5. To fix the Targets of the year.
a. It was decided that at least 2 lecture meetings and 1 workshop will be the target of the year, 2018.
b. It was resolved that there will be international conference in the month of December, 2018, which will comprise of 1 technical co-sponsorship and 1 flagship conference.
6. Considered about the nomination of the next chairman
It has been resolved that the chairman of the nomination committee will be Dr. Suparna Kar Chowdhury, Senior Member, IEEE. 8. The establishment date of the Signal Processing Chapter, Kolkata Section took place in the month of March, 2018.
Further resolved that the above resolutions be taken as confirmed.
